Best Winter Skincare Products 2019

Personal

Filed in :

Ok, so this is a bit different! I’ve decided to share some of the skincare products I use when the weather is awful.

The number one issue I have with winter and early spring (other then it sucks) is that I get such dry skin. There is nothing worse than dry skin and being cold! It really makes you crave laying on the beach and sipping strawberry margaritas.

Some of the products I’m sharing are great for moisturizing and some are great for relaxing. I’m a huge advocate for the cheesiest kind of self-care. Face masks, lip scrubs, bubble baths… give them all to me!

Especially when the weather is awful. (If you live somewhere where winter is pretty you are so lucky!!! I live in the south and everything is just cold and muddy for 3 months).

So without further ado, here are the best winter skin care products I just can’t live without! (I’m throwing in some links in case you wanna check stuff out yourself).

Olivia Care Rose Hip Oil and Jade Roller

This rose hip oil is everything! I bought it after being so frustrated with cream moisturizers and I’m never switching back! If you are a little scared at seeing oil, don’t be! I used to think that putting oil on your face would make it more oily. Surprisingly it doesn’t! I use a few drops all over my face at night to help moisturize me. Sometimes on extra dry days, I’ll go ahead and put it on in the morning. A little goes a long way so the product really lasts (I’m still on my first bottle!) and the results are great! I also use a jade roller for a little face massage and to make my skincare routine feel fancy (I live for being a little bit extra). I’m not sure if it does much but omg it feels great! Honey Trap Lip Balm – Lush

So I got this as a Christmas gift from my mom (thanks mom!) and I love it! I use it almost every night before I go to bed and my lips always feel so nice! I have very dry lips and in the past,  few lip balms have really worked. And I tried just about all of them! I love this one because a) it smells so good! and b) it’s really not super heavy. The only downside is you have to use your finger to apply it, so I only use it at night after I’ve showered and my hands are clean. Get it here: Honey Trap Lip Balm

Giovanni Face Serum

Giovanni Face Serum

So I have oily-combination skin. I only use rosehip oil at night or when I’m particularly dry. When my skin is a little more normal or oily, I use this stuff. It is honestly kind of a weird skincare product. It’s got all sorts of stuff in it that is supposed to help with hydration and even clear up some acne scars (Hello vitamin C!). Since I’ve started using it I’ve noticed my skin is staying clearer and my scars are starting to fade. The consistency is almost like water so I never feel like it clogs up my pores. Check it out here: Giovanni Restoring Facial Serum

Face Masks: Aztec Clay Mask and Lush Mask

Aztec Clay Mask and Lush Mask

Yay, face masks! I LOVE a good face mask they are literally the first thing I think about when someone says skincare. Nothing really sets the tone of a treat yo self day like the type of face mask you choose. So there are so many good ones out there, but I’m going to share my two favs! I buy these over and over again. First off, for those days where you want to fix your skin, pull out all the crap in there, and get it really squeaky clean: The Aztec Clay Mask. You’ve honestly probably heard of this one before. It’s popular for a reason! I honestly thank this thing for getting rid of my bumpy skin. I will say the experience is NOT relaxing. It feels very tight and kind of uncomfortable. However, after a few uses, the results are great. I use it, my mom uses it, we force my 13-year-old brother to use it. It’s great. Get it here: Aztec Secret – Indian Healing Clay

Now for a relaxing mask, the lush mask! I love this thing it’s my favorite skincare item! It’s cute, it’s green, it’s made of natural ingredients. This one is perfect for when you just want something soothing and a tiny bit moisturizing. It has oatmeal in it so that as you wash it off you can exfoliate a bit! It’s perfect for the lazy mini spa day. Take a look at it here: Mask of Magnaminty

Ok, so that’s all for now! I hope that one or two of these products will help you be a beautiful soft cinnamon roll for the last bit of winter! Bonus some pictures of my kitty interrupting my mini photo shoot.
